8 Food Myths Busted

Food myths are created from outdated science, old wives’ tales etc. But every now and then, you need to take      another look at information you believe is true and change with the times! How many of these common myths are still part of your nutrition playbook?

Number 6: Bananas are fattening. One medium banana has about 105 calories. They are a good source of fiber, magnesium, & potassium, all of which can help manage blood pressure; and a good source of vitamin B6, which boost your immune system.  CONCLUSION: INCORRECT!

The Native American Hitchiti tribe, named this 730 Sq. mile body of water, “Okeechobee”, meaning “big water.”  It sustains us, by being the “fuel” for the everglades, home to the tastiest freshwater fish around, and it has a great marina in Pahokee, FL. This gem of the Glades is an ocean unto itself, and the history of this area is some of the most intriguing.

Concerns and Available Workshops Regarding IEP’s
