Palm Beach Habilitation Center has a “new look” thanks for Graphics-Signs

Dale Pickford, owner of Graphic-Signs in west Lake Worth, was so impressed after taking a tour of the Palm Beach Habilitation Center that he wanted to help the Center.  After seeing their Thrift Store and Work Production Trucks, he knew exactly what he could do to help.   Thanks to Dale and his wife, Maria, the work production and the Thrift Store trucks have a whole new look.  Graphic-Signs donated all of the graphic design work, painting of the sides of the truck, and removal and installation of the new vinyl.  The new look includes pictures of clients and is now a moving billboard for the Center.

Ray Wright, Business Development Director at the Center, knows Dale and Maria through his long-standing membership in the Western Community Business Associates and the Palms West Chamber of Commerce.   “The trucks look fantastic.  This generous donation by the Pickfords is so very greatly appreciated in this challenging economy… this was something that we have talked about doing, but due to funding cuts we could not afford to do it.  Dale and Maria’s gift makes a huge difference right now and will for many years in the future!” said Wright.

PLANTING OF MEMORY GARDEN

April 28th, members of the Sovereign Order of St John of Jerusalem, Knights Hospitaller, Commandery of the Palm Beaches arrived at the Palm Beach Habilitation Center with shovels, rakes, and plants in hand. By the time they left, their goal of planting “Memory Garden” was a reality. Working in the hot sun didn’t seem to bother this group which included Palm Beach Commander Dame Dottie Carson, Dame Adel Nabhan, Prior of the Priory of the Eastern US, Dame Suzanne Turner, Chevalier Tony Lofaso and wife Blanca Lofaso.

Tina Philips, President/CEO of the Center, stated “This memory garden is beautiful and will be truly appreciated by the hundreds of clients who attend our on-campus programs on a daily basis… now, and in the future.”
