Bob Murphy
on “par” with Centurions
Bob
Murphy, PGA Senior Touring Pro and a tower announcer for NBC Sports golf
coverage, was the featured speaker at the Annual Centurions Cocktail Party
on Thursday, January 17th at the Atlantis Golf Club. Earl Moore, Vice Chair of the
Board of Directors of the Palm Beach Habilitation Center, and Otis Brown,
Chair of the Centurions, served as emcees for the evening by welcoming the
125+ guests and thanking them for their support. Murphy kept everyone entertained
with amusing golf stories --
both past and present.
The
Centurions, an auxiliary formed in 1994 by a group of Atlantis residents to
raise funds for capital improvements at PB Hab Center, consists of Chairman
Otis Brown, Charlie Wenrich, Luther Woods, Sandy Beach, Bill Benton, John
Farmer, Harry Kennedy, Roy Spence, Carl Palmisano, Bryan Meumann and Bobby
Pastorius.
The
money raised by this group is earmarked for the Centurions Capital
Improvement Fund, which ensures that the Center has available monies for
all its capital needs, including repairs, improvement and equipment. This year, the Centurions will
update the Agency’s computer infrastructure system and install an
integrated digital phone system.
